
Rick Maier formed Snap Vector Consulting, LLC in 2009 to meet the needs of business owners, company boards and CEOs in and near Cincinnati for practical advice and execution resources on an array of interrelated business issues.
Over a diverse 30 year career prior to that, he helped major service and industrial companies improve cash flow results through hands-on leadership of initiatives in each of Snap Vector's service areas.
Immediately prior to founding Snap Vector, Rick was the Executive Vice President of Global Fastening Solutions where, among other things, he initiated significant cost and working capital reductions and successfully repositioned its' largest international market.
Rick spent most of his career with LaSalle Bank where he served at its' CFO and later, as Manager of its' Cincinnati Regional Office. As a member of that bank's Leveraged Finance Group in the mid-1990s, he developed relationships with nationwide private equity firms, originated and structured credit transactions and managed the financial restructuring of several highly leveraged companies.
Over the course of his career Rick directly managed a wide variety of business functions including sales, marketing, customer service, operations, inventory, demand planning, logistics, product distribution, sourcing, information technology, legal, finance and treasury.
Rick is a CPA and earned his degrees at The Ohio State University (Bachelors of Administrative Science) and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (Masters of Management). He serves on the Advisory Board of The Malibu Group, a merger and acquisition consulting firm and is a member of APICS (a/k/a the Association for Operations Management), the Professional Pricing Society and a member and former president of the Association for Corporate Growth - Cincinnati Chapter.
